Our Nursery School
About Whitecross
A welcome from our Headteacher, Claire FitzPatrick
A very warm welcome to Whitecross Nursery School.
From 1977, when our nursery first welcomed children, Whitecross Nursery School has continued to develop and thrive, providing a consistently evolving learning environment for our local community and beyond. Whitecross is a purpose-built, stand-alone nursery school providing care and learning through play for pre-school children aged 3 -4 years.
We have happy, experienced and approachable staff members who strive to consistently provide all children with fantastic learning opportunities through our ambitious curriculum. Children can choose to take their learning outside to our exciting, innovative, stimulating, spacious garden or spend time in our motivating, high-quality, well-resourced, calm indoor learning environment.
We are committed to providing a nurturing environment which empowers each child to thrive and realise their full potential. Our nursery school's core values are to be:
kind, resilient, curious, independent
We are proud to embed these values in our children, and we hope they will develop into charactistics for lifelong learning.
We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful Whitecross family.
Please contact myself, Kate Parker or Kirby Chapman in the school office to arrange an opportunity to explore our happy setting.
Kind regards and warm wishes,
Claire FitzPatrick

Children are excited and enthusiastic learners. The high level of care and concern shown by staff nurtures children's love of learning. Their high expectations and well-established routines support children's outstanding behaviour. Children feel very safe and secure.
