Whitecross Nursery school is a very special place and is loved by everyone who becomes a part of it. It is a stand-alone nursery school providing outstanding play-based learning and care for children aged 2–4 years. Everyone is welcome here. We have no catchment area. Though our values, our ethos and our belief in every child deserves the best, we strive to promote full inclusivity for all of our children, their families, our staff and the wider community that supports us.
From 1977, when our nursery first welcomed children, Whitecross Nursery School has continued to develop and thrive, providing a consistently evolving learning environment for our local community in Derby and beyond.
We have happy, experienced and approachable staff members who strive to consistently provide all children with fantastic learning opportunities through our ambitious curriculum. Children can choose to take their learning outside to our exciting, innovative, stimulating, spacious garden or spend time in our motivating, high-quality, well-resourced, calm indoor learning environment.
We are committed to providing a nurturing environment which empowers each child to thrive and realise their full potential.
Our nursery school's core values are to be:
We are proud to embed these values in our children, and we hope they will develop into strong characteristics for lifelong learning.
We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful Whitecross family.
Please contact myself, Kate Parker or Kirby Chapman in the school office at any time to arrange an opportunity to come and explore our happy, friendly setting.
Kind regards and warm wishes,
