EYPP

Early years Pupil Premium, EYPP, is funding that was introduced by the government in 2015.  It is provided to support schools to close the gap between children from disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers.  EYPP funding is an extra 53p per hour on top of the free entitlement for three and four year olds who fall into the following categories; children who are in care, those who have been adopted from care and those whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits.  This money is to provide extra support within their school setting.  This equates to £302 per child per year for each child taking up the full 570 hours funded entitlement to early education.

How we support children at Whitecross in receipt of EYPP

Each year we look at the needs of the individual children entitled to EYPP funding in school and plan to spend that money to ensure those eligible children get the extra support they need.

When children start nursery parents and carers complete a form to check for eligibility.  Should your circumstances change and you would like to submit a new form, you can get one form the school office or alternatively download one form the school website.  The form is in the 'Admissions' section of our website.
