Maypole Dancing

Louis' Grandma and Grandad came to teach us how to dance around the maypole.  We all clapped our hands, patted our knees and stepped in time to the beat while Grandad played the violin.  Then we were ready to move around the maypole!  We each held onto a coloured ribbon and watched them make a lovely pattern on the pole as we walked around in a circle.  We then walked the other way to unwind them and stretched them out in a tent shape.  We also walked in towards the pole and out again, listening for the colour to know when it was our turn and holding tight to our ribbons.  Some of us took turns to play percussion instruments as well.  We all listened to instructions very carefully and had a lovely time.
